The main training component of our Integrated Protection Plan is Stewards of Children because it's the only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors.Stewards of Children is a child sexual abuse prevention program developed by the national organization Darkness to Light. This program educates adults to prevent, recognize and react appropriately to child sexual abuse. This training program is designed for parents and any adults who work with children or adolescents. Over 1.7 million adults have been trained in Stewards of Children.

TRAINING FORMATS

1. Facilitator Led*

Facilitator Led training offers numerous  advantages not available with online training. 

• Training at your location. 
• Group dynamics encourage trainees to support one another in difficult situations and builds a safe environment.
• Personal and organization-specific questions can be addressed by facilitators. 
• Group interaction aids the learning process.
• Assures compliance with child safety training requirements. 
• Mastery of material is demonstrated by trainees.  

Facilitator Led Training includes workbook and information specific to your area and your organization's needs. Trainee test for comprehension is available upon request.  $10 a person plus an honorarium.

2. Webinar (New Format) *

This format combines the personal experience of a live facilitator with the convenience of an online presentation.

• Training at your location or multiple locations simultaneously. 
• Convenience of engaging in training at home or work. 
• Personal and organization-specific questions can be addressed by facilitators. 
• Group interaction aids the learning process.
• Assures compliance with child safety training requirements. 
• Mastery of material is demonstrated by trainees.

 3. Online 

Although not the optimal training format, online trainings offer a few advantages.

• An individual unable to attend a live training can gain basic training. 
• Individuals can cover the material at a slower pace. 

Online Training is available at Stewards of Children's online site for $10 per person. Workbooks, supplementary resources and test not available at the online testing site. Contact Safekeeping kids for theses materials.
