The Department of Public Safety has created searches for Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. These searches allow the public to search the registry for sex offenders registered in Texas.
Background checks are a must for any child or youth serving organization. However, a large percentage of sex offenders are not listed on any registry. A sex offender can have 100's of victims before adjudication and registration as a sex offender. Many predators are never convicted.
